Officially Opens New Pittsfield Branch
Mayor Nichols Attends Grand Opening On June
16th For A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union officially opened
their new Pittsfield branch on Saturday June 16th with the “School’s
Out – Summer Savings Spectacular.”
Pittsfield Mayor Timothy Nichols was on hand for an official
ribbon cutting ceremony, and representatives from the Pittsfield
Recreation Department also attended to accept a $500 donation
from the credit union. The donation will be used towards
the purchase of playground equipment for Hawthorn Park, which
the recreation department is currently renovating.
Also highlighting the event was a special appearance by
Portland Pirate’s Mascot “Salty Pete,” and
a variety of fun “kids” activities including
a clown, a moonwalk, a cashcube, hotdogs, popcorn and cotton
candy, and special prizes and giveaways. One lucky
attendee also won a new Nintendo Wii video game system.
“The Grand Opening Event was a great opportunity to
connect with the community and showcase our new location,” said
Jim Lemieux, President, Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit
Union. “We were thrilled to have such a great
turnout, as well as sign up so many new members for our new
youth savings club.”
